Court reinstates union-organizing employee
A federal District Court in Kentucky has upheld a National Labor Relations Board order requiring a nonprofit healthcare provider in Louisville to reinstate a mental health associate who was fired after she sought to promote the union during work hours. Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Health-Care, Inc., doing business as Our Lady of Peace, operates two hospitals in Louisville and several off-site facilities, including a psychiatric residential treatment facility for adolescents.
