“Reed thin” evidence permits bias case to continue
An African-American employee of Catholic Charities in Syracuse, NY, who asserted “claims of discrimination or retaliation concerning what appears to be every action by the employer or co-workers during (and following) [his] 13 months of employment that he did not agree with or was offended by,” has alleged just enough to cause a federal District Court to deny a motion to dismiss his discrimination and retaliation claims. The Court, however, did dismiss a series of other claims regarding failure to promote, failure to pay overtime, and hostile work environment.
