As a member of a nonprofit organization, can I be excluded from meetings?
If you are a "member" of a nonprofit corporation (i.e. one who has legal rights such as voting for directors), you would normally have a right to attend meetings of the members, but not necessarily meetings of the Board. Many nonprofits have contributors who are called members but have no legal rights of any kind. Determine what kind of “member” you are and check out the bylaws and the state nonprofit corporation law.
