An organization founded by a group of churches “to provide assistance to residents of the [community] who are unemployed, underemployed, dealing with a long term illness, or experiencing other forms of personal crisis” is not entitled to the religious organization exemption to the Colorado unemployment compensation law, and a former employee is eligible for unemployment compensation payments, the Colorado Court of Appeals has held.
